The BIG NEWS over the past couple of weeks has been the amount of people flowing across the southern border. With so many reported to be military-age men from China, the topic of Chinese investors buying up land in Oklahoma is back in the news.

A lot of Oklahomans are concerned about China's intent and why they're attempting to purchase land in the Sooner State and across the Nation. What was once considered by many a conspiracy theory is now a reality.

Funny how that happens. Today's fake news or "misinformation" becomes tomorrow's truth. We've been talking about China's land grab for a while now, but the "fact checkers" AKA "morons" just now caught on.

By now it's no secret that China and foreign-backed investors are buying up enormous amounts of farmland. Oklahoma ranks #2 in the nation when it comes to the amount of land being purchased by foreign interests.

Non-U.S. citizens can't buy or own land in Oklahoma. There are exceptions to this, but overall the state constitution forbids this in Article XXII Section 1 and 2. But like most laws, it only applies to the law-abiding.

So how are these foreign investors, entities, and individuals buying up land if it's illegal? They obtain the land illegally through shady long-term land leases and straw purchases. The land may be in someone else's name or some corporation, but it's being bought and controlled by foreign interests and even foreign governments.

So why are the Chinese buying up so much land in Oklahoma? Most say the primary reason is medical marijuana which they sell on the black market. However, there's a lot more at stake than just marijuana.
