During an interview with The Guardian, series creator Hideo Kojima talked about how Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will tackle issues about U.S Dominance and question Hollywood's portrayal on American policies. It seems however that interview may have contained another tidbit of information fans have been clamoring for - a release date.In the original article it closed that the game's release date will be on March 17, 2015 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The article has since changed back to stating 'early 2015.'

Unlike other claimed 'leaks' this one makes sense if there is truth to it. March 17 falls on a Tuesday and it will have been a year since Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was released - which saw a March 18 release.

During E3 many fans hoped that the 'Coming 1984' message at the end of the trailer meant that the game would release on August 9, 2014 or September 8, 2014. Both of those dates are not valid since the August date falls on a Friday and the September date falls on a Monday.

Keep in mind, until an official announcement from Konami or Kojima has been made, all release date leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but coming from a reputable publication that actually has credibility, there may be an announcement coming soon and this leak may actually be valid.
