Yesterday an amazing effort was underway as Lawton, Fort Sill came together as a community to help in the relief efforts. So far 2 trucks have been completely filled and delivered to the people of Moore. A big thank you to Comanche Home Center for all their help, the truck and even a driver who took the donations to the Red Cross drop site in Moore.

Jay Kinder also provided a truck, seen in the picture on the top left filled with bottled water and other items will be taken to Moore today to drop off donations. Ryan’s Trucking provided a C.O.W. ‘Container on Wheels’ which is more than half way full and will be delivered to Moore today as well.

Sam’s Club and Walmart made big donations and assisted throughout the day. Representatives from the Red Cross were present, as were other organizations involved in the relief efforts. We had several volunteers who came out and helped, most all day long. We couldn’t count how many people showed up, made donations and pitched in.

You still have time to be a part of this, stop by Sam’s Club and Walmart 802 N.W. Sheridan Road and make a donation, or help by volunteering with the relief effort today from 8:00am to 12:00pm After that we’ll be taking everything we collect and all the trucks to Moore to the Red Cross donation site.
