After last night's fight we could all use some excitement. What was billed as the fight of the century turned into one of boxing's worst 12 rounds, at least in my opinion. Remember when boxing was exciting? Luckily I do because I grew up watching Mike Tyson. Love him or hate him Tyson is without a doubt one of boxing's greatest fighters to have ever entered the ring! He could very well be the last of the great heavyweights.

In a time that pre-dated the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) boxing was the most brutal and dangerous of sports and Tyson was the most feared man in the ring. His legendary punches and pounding fists were amazing to see. It still blows my mind the speed he had, everyone was surprised that a man that big could move that quick. His fights were truly an event. It was like watching a master at work.

Tyson was much more than a pounder, sure he could damn sure bang but he had the full package. Speed, defense, movement and a level of agility that hasn't been seen in the ring since he retired. I miss Mike!
