Though ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues‘ isn't due in theaters until the end of the year, in anticipation of the sequel to one of the most quotable films ever made, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream have created a flavor in tribute to Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgundy. That flavor? Scotchy Scotch Scotch.
This guy is so totally busted. He thought he could get away with not giving one tiny spoonful of mint chocolate chip ice cream to his girlfriend at a basketball game, but now everybody knows it, thanks to a hilarious play-by-play by Isaiah Thomas and C-Webb.
For anyone who has ever sat down to a hot fudge sundae and thought, "You know, this is really delicious, but I really wish it could get me drunk," we give you SnoBar, the new alcohol-infused ice cream and ice pops with a full shot in every serving.
How many floaters get tossed after house parties, tailgating and pre-gaming before a proctologist appointment? Sad. Leftover beer is an issue to beer makers as well. If only there were a way to salvage all that tasty waste. The Great Lakes Brewing Company has, dare we say, a Nobel Prize winning idea — make it into ice cream.
In fact, they’re calling for a boycott of the ice cream, whose name pays tribute to a ‘Saturday Night Live’ sketch in which Alec Baldwin plays Pete Schweddy, a man who makes popcorn, rum and cheese balls.
One Million Moms’ statement, released Wednesday, states:
For its latest flavor, ice cream purveyors Ben & Jerry’s drew from history. Comedic history.
Months after Alec Baldwin dropped hints that a flavor named “Schweddy Balls” was on the horizon, B&J have made it a reality. The concoction, made of vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered rum and malt balls, got its name from an old ‘Saturday Night Live’ sketch win which Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer play low-key NPR hosts who delight in holiday confections made by eatery-owner Pete Schweddy (Baldwin).
