Ladies ruled at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards: Beyonce’s pregnancy announcement was the big news of the night, Lady Gaga opened the show in style (and in drag) and Katy Perry took home top honors, winning Video of the Year for ‘Firework.’

The stars turned out on the red carpet — or should we say black carpet? — for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. This fall on MTV "Beavis & Butthead" return exposing a whole new generation to programing that doesn't suck, which for MTV it's been awhile. Other than "Headbanger's Ball" that's about the only damn thing I'll watch, the rest sucks! If so you're old like me.

Despite a report from US Weekly, MTV says it has no plans to replace the cast of ‘Jersey Shore.’ “We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show,” a spokesperson told the Hollywood Reporter Friday.
