Volbeat Release New Video for ‘Cape of our Hero’ [VIDEO]

Volbeat just released the new music video for the song 'Cape of our Hero' off their new album 'Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies'. The new disk will be in stores and online Tuesday, April 9th 2013 (04-09-13)

The video highlights the band's never ending ability to surprise us with their expanding musical boundaries, if boundaries even exist for this band! It's not the typical Volbeat video, or song. That's what makes this band great, you can never box them in and label them when it comes to their sound. Expect the unexpected!

When you're talking about the band, especially to those who may be unfamiliar with them and describe Volbeat as a rock, metal, punk, doo-wop, country, rock-a-billy, blues band people usually give you a confused or bewildered look. Until they listen to them, then they understand! Somehow they can take all these influences and meld them all together, seamlessly. And those are just a few of the genres that Volbeat draw from.

The new album pushes it even further! From what we heard Thursday night (03-07-13) in OKC at the Diamond Ballroom and this new video, "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies" could very well be the most diverse and impressive Volbeat album to date!

The video and song for 'Cape of our Hero' speaks of the special relationship between father and son. How at one time, or maybe even still today we view our dads as heroes. I don't want to ruin the video for you, or say too much. Just watch it and you'll see what I mean, I have to admit it even moved me! Watch it for yourself below:
