According to Gwen Stefani, the band is working on a new album, but it isn’t as easy as pie. The group is ”desperate” to write good songs. “We wish we were good enough to craft it and have a vision, but our songwriting process is sort of desperate — we’re just praying that something comes out,” Stefani told Q magazine.

For the 17-track collection, due September 20, Bennett enlisted a few fellow legends, including Willie Nelson and Aretha Franklin, along with contemporary crooners such as Andrea Bocelli and Michael Bublé. But he also made sure to give ‘Duets II’ a contemporary spin.

Longtime friends and fellow ’80s hitmakers, Kimball and Jamison found themselves at loose ends in recent years — both, ironically, having concluded reunions with their former bandmates — and decided to start a band of their own. The result is a duo they’re calling Kimball Jamison, with plans to release a full-length album in the fall.

The Who‘s ‘Quadrophenia’ is about to get a whole lot bigger.
The double-album rock opera from 1973 will be re-released in November as part of a boxed set compiled by Who guitarist/songwriter Pete Townshend, who says he and singer Roger Daltrey may perform ‘Quadrophenia’ next year on tour.
