Accept to Issue ‘The Rise of Chaos’ Album in August, Plot Celebration at 2017 Wacken Festival
Metal vets Accept are ramping up to a new album and they're making sure to go big with the release of the effort. According to a new post, The Rise of Chaos will be released via Nuclear Blast on Aug. 4, but fans of the group will get a solid preview of the new disc when the band takes the stage a day earlier (Aug. 3) at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany.
According to the post, Accept will play a three-part performance at Wacken Open Air this year, participating in the festival's "Night to Remember" performances. Part 1 will consist of a classic set, packed with older hits as well as select songs from the new album. The band will then give way to guitarist Wolf Hoffman playing tracks from his solo album Headbangers Symphony with the assistance of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra for the very first time. On the Hoffman record, the musician covered famous opuses by composers such as Beethoven, Vivaldi and Mozart all with its own metal stamp on it. That leaves fans with Part 3, which brings all the elements together. The full group will join Hoffman and the orchestra delivering music complete with a complex multimedia show.
"It has always impressed us how seriously the bands take this evening and with how much love artists and organizers always surprise in their diversity. This is a beautiful custom, which shows and documents the level of the international rock community like no other. We also want to show something that Accept has never ever shown before and we hope we are able to offer something special to the fans," says Hoffman of playing the "Night to Remember" performance.
