If you've been paying attention at all you're probably familiar with the Canadian Truckers and the protest convoy in the Great White North. If you haven't heard of it before and are wondering what's going on and what it's all about, it's basically a COVID-19 vaccine mandate protest. Truckers from all over Canada got together for a convoy from British Columbia to the Capitol in Ottawa protesting the government's vaccine mandates and other government overreaches which infringe upon individual freedom and liberty.

The movement or protest has grown rapidly throughout Canada and similar protests and "Freedom Convoys"  are taking place across the country. The Canadian government, specifically Prime Minister Justin Trudeau fueled the fire by dismissing the group and protests as "a fringe minority" and comparing the group to a bunch of racists and nazis. He did himself no favors doing that as it only escalated the situation tenfold.

The convoy has now blocked several entries into the country from the U.S. and has gridlocked supply lines. This is the goal of the protest to impact the economy, disrupt supply lines and shipping, and create havoc on just about every aspect of day-to-day life in order to force the Canadian government to end its mandates. Some are condemning the protests, others applaud it. Hit play on the video below for more details.

The protest has caused serious issues in both Canada and the U.S. some speculate that it could even affect the big game this weekend and several U.S. car manufacturers and other industries have been crippled by it. Now the movement is spreading to other countries that have similar vaccine mandates and other restrictive COVID-19 policies, including the U.S. There's a somewhat confirmed rumor that truckers in the U.S. are planning a "Freedom Convoy" that would start in California and make it way to the Capitol.

People from all different countries are fighting back against vaccine mandates and all the other forms of overreach that have taken place over the past couple of years. There are several Oklahoma truckers that have stated they would absolutely join in the convoy/protest and others are headed to California as you read this to be a part of it when it first kicks off. None of the official trucking organizations in the state have issued any statements such as the OTA (Oklahoma Trucking Association). But a lot of truckers from across the Sooner State have already expressed their support and intend to participate.

This is a prime example of what happens when people are pushed too far, or worse yet are completely dismissed or demonized by their government. This movement or protest is spreading like wildfire and the elected officials, regardless of what office they hold or what country they're in, must recognize and address the will of the people. What was considered to be a "fringe movement" has quickly become the majority, who will not remain silent any longer. So what do you think about all of this? Do you agree or disagree? Take the quick poll below and let us know your opinions on the "Freedom Convoy" trucker protests.
