And the Winner of Light Up Lawton Is…Danny Niver!

We are excited to announce that the winner of Light Up Lawton has been announced!  It's Danny Niver, and his fabulous front yard!

Danny has been decorating his home like this for over 15 years, but this is the first contest he has won doing it. You would think that a job this big takes a whole team to set up, but Danny says he does it all himself over the course of 3 days.  It takes that long to get it synchronized to the music.

Danny's home is on the West side of Lawton, behind Country Mart on 67th Street. If you're thinking you can drive by and see it, it's not gonna happen.  His usual practice is to take down the holiday display on the first weekend in January.

Danny says he'll probably use the prize money to invest in more decoration!  Congratulations Danny Niver!

Light up Lawton was a campaign to brighten spirits through the Holiday Season, Townsquare Media partnered with Cache Road Chic-fil-A to intice listeners to decorate their homes and help shed some light on a year that just didn't have a whole lot of light spots in it.  Listeners entered their homes, both inside and out, via our websites and were posted in a gallery for everyone to see.  Winner was chosen by a consensus of votes from Townsquare Media and Chic-fil-A.  Though entries were a little light, we consider this contest to be a success in that we took some time out to just look at the beauty of the season and what 'light' in general represents.  Hope for tomorrow.  And really isn't that what Christmas is all about?
