We could all use some "silver linings" in 2020. Thankfully Less Than Jake will be providing their Silver Linings album this Friday (Dec. 11). This has been a tough year for touring musicians but also a time to reflect. So while hoping to eventually return to the road in 2021, we asked Less Than Jake singer-guitarist Chris DeMakes to write about his favorite music venues around the world.

The frontman serves up some very specific reasons why certain venues stand out above others, offering a few nuggets of knowledge you might not know about these venues and the amenities they have for touring bands in the process.

Hopefully when the pandemic lifts, Less Than Jake will get to return to some of these stages. But, as we've seen throughout the year, a number of independent music venues have been financially stressed and in danger of closing for good while the touring industry has been shut down. To learn more about how you can help independent venues during this time of crisis, visit the National Independent Venue Association website here.

As for that new album, you can pick up Less Than Jake's Silver Linings via the platform (and/or bundle option) of your choosing here.
