Catchy New Red Hot Chili Peppers Single, ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie,’ Hits the Internet

Flea’s thick, funky bass line, Chad Smith’s danceable drum beat, Anthony Kiedis’ rhythmic lead vocal and newcomer Josh Klinghoffer’s tasteful guitar work — it all adds up to the new Red Hot Chili Peppers single, ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie,’ which can now be heard online.

On July 13, the Chili Peppers announced that the song would be released July 18. But after it was leaked, the band reacted by posting it exclusively with KROQ-FM’s Soundcloud station three days ago.

It’s believed that female rapper Kreayshawn will direct a video for ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.’ The song will be included on the new Chili Peppers album, the Rick Rubin-produced ‘I’m With You,’ which is due Aug. 30.
