We can't escape the fact, as harsh as it may seem, that senseless acts of violence are not just for the big city anymore. My town, Duncan, Oklahoma has been cast into a national and international spotlight for a crime that did not have to be committed.

Whitney Houston. Beautiful musician, singer and actress. Taken away from us too soon. I like many others were captivated in the mid 1980's by her voice.

Ever pull up to a gas pump and whip out the plastic to pay at the pump? Convenience is a must in this day and age. Why go inside and have to wait for the clerk when you can pay at the pump?

Now that we are half way through the week and getting closer to the Super Bowl, one of my favorite kitchen devices is the Crock Pot. Now just like in real life, this cock pot post had to cook just the right amount of time before it could be posted. Enjoy!

Now we get to an area where most people love to stop and load up at any given Super Bowl party.

The picture you see has been shown around the world on every possible facet of media. Television, Internet, print and the list goes on.

Can you imagine a world with out Twinkies or Ho Ho's? How about a fabulous fruit filled pie? Or a creme filled cupcake?

So is there some innocence left. Yes. I saw it with my own eyes this morning.

This past weekend was super busy. I mean really busy. It started at Central Mall for Santa's Workshop.
