Central Texas Gets the X Games For Second Straight Year

Austin is a good fit for many things, including live music, burritos, and flip flops.  Now it's becoming known as a great place to host the X Games, and ESPN has announced the dates that Austin will host next summer.

Austin is a hot spot for festivals overall, with South by Southwest every March, and the Austin City Limits Music Festival in October.  The X Games are becoming the big summer draw, and if you're a big BMX fan looking for a road trip you'll want to mark these dates on your calendar.

X Games 2015 will happen June 4 through 7 in Austin.  ESPN says part of the feedback from last year was to keep all of the events in a smaller area, and they have plans to do that this year and carry out the 4-day event with a smaller footprint overall.

They haven't announced with musical acts might show up, but they have said tickets will go on sale January 23rd, and you can sign up for pre-sale tickets now on XGames.com.
