A California appeals court has issued 81 pages on why music producer Phil Spector cannot have a new murder trial.

Spector's lawyers had argued he deserved a new trial because his judge committed reversible error.

A three-member panel has decided there was no misconduct from the judges or prosecutors, and the five women who said Spector threatened them with guns were properly admitted.

Spector is serving 19 years to life in prison for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003.
