Unique Father’s Day Gifts That Really Connect With Dad

With Father's Day a little under two weeks away, now is the time to start thinking about what to give dear old dad on his special day. While it can be tough to shop for the man who has everything, there are several gifts beyond trinkets to be found in Oklahoma.

The Sooner State really is a sportsman's paradise.

We have more manmade lakes than any other state. They're stocked constantly to provide the best fishing imaginable. There are also quite a few (and growing) places to take dad to a gun range if he's into it.

If you don't know, try something new together... though, I will add, the public WMA shooting ranges can be a little sketchy.

We went once to Kaw WMA last year, and all was going good. We practically had the place to ourselves until some loser in head-to-toe tactical gear showed up acting all sorts of odd. He wouldn't say a word back while trying to make polite conversation, covered his face and eyes with a mask, outdoors, it just felt like it could be a bad situation.

The indoor ranges may have fewer Matrix cosplayers running around, but they can be hit or miss on safety, too. Too many newbies are pointing guns at people without even realizing it.

Perhaps Dad is a DIY'er to the extreme. Even if you don't want to drop a bunch of cash on a new fancy tool, there are plenty of littles that will instantly be at home in his shop.
