Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who’s recently made a name for herself as a singer in the movie ‘Country Strong’ and on the TV show ‘Glee,’ may be married to a rock star — but that doesn’t mean she leans on him for career advice.

In an interview in the September issue of ELLE magazine, Paltrow calls Chris Martin — her husband of 10 years and frontman for the band Coldplay — a “musical genius,” but said asking him for input on her musical endeavors would be “like living with Picasso and being like, ‘Should I make a little something-something?’”

Nor should you expect them to duet together anytime soon. Paltrow said she understands her husband “doesn’t want [listeners] to conjure a lame famous couple when they’re getting into his music.”

Regardless, the actress recently signed a $900,000 deal with Atlantic Records, so she seems to be doing just fine without his help.
