It's a week before Halloween, making it the perfect time for Hollywood Undead to tease their sixth album, which will be out next year. They've just debuted "Already Dead," an eerie, synth-driven track with a gigantic chorus.

"It's an explosive rock anthem," asserted singer Danny Murillo. "Humans can find pleasure in trying to hurt you," he continued, describing the message behind the song. "When you take away that satisfaction and become immune to it, it's empowering."

Hollywood Undead play to their strengths on "Already Dead," as the character of each singer in the group brings out the differing elements in the song — J-Dog raps over twinkling melodies and minimalist beats, Danny's singing comes in as the layers of instrumentation build and their voices collide on the arena-built chorus.

It’s the year of the snake
Friends are overrated, so let’s make no mistake
I watch from a distance while you poison the lake
A trail of ash that you leave in your wake
Knock me down, but I get back up
In the rain, I feel no pain from the cuts
Too much pain, is it ever enough?
In the rain and I’m spilling my guts

You wanna hate me
You wanna try and break me
But you can’t kill me
‘Cause I’m already dead
You can shame me
You can try and break me down
‘Cause I’m already dead

Already dead
Already dead

Here I am again at the edge of a knife
Some of us are born at the end of our lives
Wake up in a sweat in the dead of the night
I must be dreaming
I can see the end of your reign
I can feel the hate filling your veins
Watch me now as I’m breaking the chains
Leaving your whole empire in flames

You wanna hate me
You wanna try and break me
But you can’t kill me
‘Cause I’m already dead
You can shame me
You can try and break me down
‘Cause I’m already dead

Watch me now as I’m breaking the chains
Leaving your whole empire in flames
Watch me now as I’m breaking the chains
Leaving your whole empire in flames

You wanna hate me
Try to break me
But you can’t kill me
‘Cause I’m already dead
You can shame me
You can try and break me down
‘Cause I’m already dead
‘Cause I’m already dead
Dead
‘Cause I’m already dead

Not much else is known about Hollywood Undead's upcoming plans, but the follow-up to 2017's V full length is expected in 2020 on Dove & Grenade Media/BMG. The group's last release was the five-track Psalms EP, which came last year.
