How Far Can Florida Gulf Coast Go in the NCAA Tournament? — Sports Survey of the Day
That there must be a "Cinderella" team every year at the NCAA Tournament is a cliche that, well, we can get behind, and this year's glass-slipper-wearing team is Florida Gulf Coast University.
Florida Gulf Coast has already made history as the first 15-seed to make the Sweet 16, with an 81-71 win over 7-seed San Diego State Sunday night that followed their huge upset of second-seeded Georgetown in the first round. The team is full of energy and fun to watch—have you watched their all-dunks highlight reel yet?
Their next matchup is against the Florida Gators, a 3-seed and a favorite among some to win the whole thing. Can Florida Gulf Coast continue this historic run? If so, how far?
