Potential Burning Hazard

According to the report, the recall is due to "the plastic U-Channel connector used to optionally combine the two food baskets inside of the air fryers can break during use, posing a burn hazard." The recall was issued due to Empower Brands receiving 41 reports of products breaking during use and three reports of burns. There are about 319,000 units being recalled.

Where were these products sold at?

The report specifically mentions the the recalled products were sold at Target, Walmart, Kohls and other stores nationwide, including the stores' websites, from August 2021 to October 2023 with prices ranging between $60 to $190, depending on product.

What to do if you have these products?

Consumers have been urged to stop using the products immediately and to contact Empowered Brands. It looks like the company is offering full refunds to consumers who have purchased the recalled products. Contact information for Empowered Brands can be found with the recall report.
