Once again, we're back to full capacity animal shelters in Oklahoma and no visible means to an end. The staff at the Geronimo Animal Shelter shared news of another set of puppies carelessly dumped at the shelter, while urging the community to help with expenses and adopting opportunities. Unfortunately, this isn't the only, or the cruelest pet owner experience caught on camera.

Six puppies were dropped off in Geronimo and made their way to the animal shelter. Staff members explained that "every kennel is taken" and with the new additions, they were looking at adding another $700 veterinary bill to their already full list of obligations.

Those wanting to help can do so in a variety of ways - and no, it's not just about the money. One of the most difficult struggles the shelters in Oklahoma face is getting animals out of the door, either through adoption or fostering. Helping could be just donating time or a home to one of the animals they're caring for.

Rescuers find pup tied to a home in Oklahoma slowly being overtaken by flood waters.

Another incident caught on camera of some very cruel pet ownership was the video of the pup being rescued during the torrential floods recently. Not only had the owners abandoned the dog during the flooding, but they had tied the dog to a post, ultimately preventing the animal from escaping.

Luckily, volunteers spotted the dog and rescued it before it was too late. But the situation absolutely could've been worse had no one spotted the dog in the nick of time.

Pet owners in Oklahoma - please do better. There should be no instance where it's wise to leave an animal behind during a natural disaster, let alone tied and doomed to a very painful passing. We're a state full of animal lovers and it's really time we start showing it.
