Not only does Harris County have more Mexican restaurants than any other county in Texas, but it also has the second most in the entire country after Los Angeles. There are currently 2,362 Mexican restaurants to choose from in Harris County, which accounts for a whopping 17% of the total Mexican restaurants in our state.

According to a study by the Pew Research Center, roughly 99% of Americans live near at least one Mexican restaurant. I've lived all over the United States and I tried to think of a single place I've been that didn't have a Mexican restaurant and came up with nada. However, I've lived near some really poor excuses for Mexican food, especially when I was up in Minnesota. They do not know what the heck they are doing up there. Being given tater tots on the side of my burrito had me pretty confused. The salsa up there was whack AF too....
