‘Jack the Giant Killer’ Trailer Gives ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ an Epic Makeover [VIDEO]

Remember the story of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk?’ Well, ‘Jack the Giant Killer’ will make you forget all that.

This new movie is a big-screen adventure, with epic battles and warriors on horseback and a farmboy accidentally opening a portal to another dimension. But those magic beans still figure into the plot.

This is another in a string of fairytales being updated for the 21st century. We have ‘Once Upon A Time’ on ABC, and two new versions of ‘Snow White’ in theaters next year, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ and ‘Mirror, Mirror.’

‘Jack the Giant Killer’ is directed by Bryan Singer and stars Nicholas Hoult, Ian McShane, Stanley Tucci, Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy and Elinor Tomlinson. It opens on June 15, 2012 (in 3-D, of course). Check out  the exciting trailer below.
