Lawton Police Dept. Body Cam Footage of 2021 Officer Involved Shooting [VIDEO]
Lawton Police Department and the City of Lawton have released statements and the body-cam footage of an officer-involved shooting that took place on (12-05-21) that left one Lawton man dead. The officers involved were terminated and criminal charges have been filed by the Comanche County District Attorney's office.
On (12-05-21) LPD (Lawton Police Department) responded to a call at 1806 N.W. Lincoln. During the call, an officer on the scene shot and killed Quadry Sanders. LPD performed an internal investigation of the shooting afterward the city manager terminated the two officers that were involved (Nathan Ronan and Robert Hinkle).
The OSBI (Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation) performed an investigation and upon their findings, the Comanche County District Attorney filed criminal charges against both former officers, manslaughter in the first degree. Since the investigation and filings have taken place the bodycam footage of the officer-involved shooting has been released in accordance with the "Oklahoma Open Records Act" and can be seen below.
