New year, new month, same old February problem... Valentine's Day. But I made a resolution to stay on top of the feels-holidays this year, and I'm bound to keep it. With a full ten days to go, I might as well be a year ahead of the game. I'm also looking to keep it all Made in Oklahoma for that personal touch.

While I mostly make all of the presents that I tend to give out, perks of a woodworking hobby, there are only so many things you can make and give once. With that list of smalls running out and no time for the grand-gesture pieces, I'm looking to other Oklahoma makers for that perfect something that says, "Yeah, you're pretty OK."

That's Our Love Language

Trying my best to stay on the theme of Oklahoma-based gifts, the waters quickly muddy up a bit when you look around specialty websites that try to collect all of the internet's info as a resource. Some websites like MadeinOklahoma.net do have a massive collection of Oklahoma-based makers, even if parent companies and such are in other states.

No big deal, you can always just dive deeper.

The Easy Way Out

There are a few no-brainers to staying on brand with Oklahoma... Braum's gifts. Most of the food is made here in Oklahoma, but some of the hardware gifts - like ice cream scoops - are usually made in China. I looked around eBay and found an ancient Made in USA scoop for myself, but your mileage may vary.

Sonic gifts would be on theme too, since it was founded and once headquartered here... but it's no longer Oklahoma. Those days are as long gone as the signature red straws.

Etsy used to be a good place to shop online for this sort of stuff, but I'm pretty sure everything on that website is just Temu stuff being resold as bespoke to those who don't know any better.

Blue & Gold is still (likely) the best example of Made In Oklahoma, and even if your local school isn't doing a fundraiser at the moment, you can always shop in the B&G store... IYKYK
