Oklahoma is Having an Alarmingly Big Virus Outbreak
Even though America is mostly over everything Covid, an old respiratory foe is spreading across Oklahoma with a vengeance.
It's the flu.
According to the State of Oklahoma, flu cases are somewhat spiking across all regions at the moment.
If you have kids in school these days, you're probably more than aware of it.
The stats at OK.gov coincide accurately with the CDC numbers too, something that doesn't always line up eye-to-eye.
Centers for Disease Control, Oklahoma is roughly experiencing flu cases about 30% above the national average, but we're not the worst off in the country or our region.
Still, it could be worse.
By all metrics, the Covid-19 case numbers remain flat, or at least cases aren't climbing. RSV is also on the decline these days in the Sooner State.
I'm sure you'll agree, we'll take all the not-so-bad news we can get.
