Traditionally, today is the day that Christmas is officially over.  It's the 12th Day of Christmas. I did not know until this year that the 12 days actually begin on Christmas Day.  I have always assumed (I know, I know) that they were a prelude to the Big Day.  Alas, I was wrong.  Today is called The Feast of Epiphany, or Twelfth Night.  Tradition says that while some of us look for any reason to keep the holidays alive, just a bit longer, it was actually considered unlucky to take down decorations before today.

Yay me.  In my most Jeri Christmas way, this year I put up 7 and decorated 6 trees.  Although they are mostly smaller trees, they still have to be un-decorated, and ornaments stored until next season.  That's a lot of work for a working girl.  Some of you may have heard me say that the tradition in my house is not until after January 8th.  That started when my son was born on January 8th.  You see when you are little and your sister has a birthday with the Christmas Tree up, you think you need it to be up for your birthday too. (Thank goodness, I didn't have any Summer babies, or my tree would stay of all year)

So, if today, or this weekend is the day that Christmas goes away at your house, I'll be thinking of you, and feeling just a little sad for your house.  Here's a look at my 7 trees!
