Kelli Garner first blipped on our radar in the movie ‘Dreamland.’ Her other acting credits include ‘Man of the House,’ ‘Bully,’ ‘The Aviator’ and ‘Thumbsucker.’ Kelli is one of the stars of the new ABC show ‘Pan Am.’ We shouldn’t hold that against her. Not that we’ve ever seen the show, we just have a thing against TV shows depicting air travel in the 1960′s. This is due to our hatred of air travel in the present time and can’t imagine what it was like to fly almost fifty years ago. Probably so much easier that it would infuriate us. “Well sure your passport says your name is Lester but we are going to need you to drop your pants and bend over to prove that sir.”

Kelli was discovered at 14 years old at a friend’s Bar Mitzvah. The story, as she tells it, is she was doing a limbo dance in a really short skirt and “this guy comes up to me and says, ‘Well, aren’t you cute,’ and he gives me his card. Turns out he was in the film business.”

Mental note: Make up business cards saying we are in the “film business” next time we crash a Bar Mitzvah. Second mental note: bring a limbo stick as well.
