Queensryche, Tesla + Lita Ford Lead 2018 Monsters of Rock Cruise
The lineup for the eighth annual Monsters of Rock cruise includes a plethora of rockers taking their talents to the high seas. The 2018 cruise embarks Feb. 11 from Miami, Fla. aboard Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas. The five day/five night journey will visit Falmouth, Jamaica and the private isle of Labadee. Fans of '80s rock and metal should dig this year's lineup, which includes Tesla, Queensryche, Thunder, Lita Ford, Winger, British Lion (featuring Steve Harris of Iron Maiden), Doro, KIX, Y&T, Vixen, Great White, Beasto Blanco, LA Guns, The Pretty Maids, Lynch Mob, Firehouse, Loudness and Michael Sweet of Stryper.
Also performing on the cruise will be The Quireboys, Tyketto, Dangerous Toys, Junkyard, Keel, Raven, Madam X, Rhino Bucket, John Corabi, Autograph, Lillian Axe, Rough Cutt, Mitch Malloy, The Iron Maidens, Kickin' Valentina, Jared James Nichols, Thee Rock 'N Roll Residency and Atomic Punks. More performances will be announced, as will details of optional pre-cruise parties in Miami on Feb. 9 and 10.
Official cruise hosts are Eddie Trunk and comedian Don Jamieson (That Metal Show) along with radio hosts Nikki Blakk and Luc Carl. They'll moderate Q&A's along with other events. Some of the activities in addition to the musical performances include Gong Show Karaoke, So You Think You Can Shred and Cooking with Rock Stars.
The cruise goes on sale tomorrow (May 10) at 12PM EST, with prices starting at $1199 per person (double occupancy) plus government fees, taxes and gratuities. For all the details, go to the 2018 Monsters of Rock website.
