Wounded Soldier Reunites With Dog Found in Afghanistan [VIDEO]

While on tour of duty in Afghanistan, soldier Donny Eslinger adopted an adorable dog that he named Smoke-pup Barbarian. But after he was critically wounded during a mortar attack and shipped to Germany, Eslinger was forced to leave the pooch behind.

But thanks to the efforts of an organization called The Puppy Rescue Mission, Eslinger was recently reunited with the war pup. The two are now enjoying each other’s company in Bethesda, MA, where Eslinger is recovering. Hopefully both Smoke-pup and Eslinger were given a hero’s welcome.
