Now that the dust has settled on Eli Manning’s second Super Bowl victory — and second Super Bowl MVP title — it’s time to compare the legacy of this New York Giants quarterback with that of his older brother, 11-time Pro Bowler and four-time regular season MVP, Peyton Manning.
It didn’t even take until the Monday after Super Bowl XLVI for a lot of people to change their minds about the New York Giants and the legacy of the New England Patriots. It seems like only yesterday that the Giants team suffered the wrath of fans because of its 7-7 win/loss record, but in a drastic change of heart, the team is being praised by just about everyone.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw two first half touchdown passes, and New York capitalized on numerous St. Louis mistakes to beat the Rams, 28-16, Monday night to improve to 1-1. The game marked the return to New York of Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo, the former Giants defensive coordinator, who saw his current team fall to 0-2 on the season.
Rams quarterback Sam Bradford threw for 331 yards
