This year we're seeing more Fall colors in Lawton, Fort Sill than ever before. It's been a while since the leaves have been so vibrant and colorful. Some say it's due to all the rain and moisture we've seen this year throughout the Spring and late Summer. Whatever the reason, the trees are changing and if you're into Fall leaves you're in luck!
It's hard to believe next week on Wednesday, September 22nd (09-22-21) it will be the official first day of Fall. We're fast approaching cooler temperatures and the holiday season. It'll be here before you know it. I'm looking forward to getting a reprieve from the heat and all the Fall fun and activities.
Not this Sunday but next Sunday (03-14-21) is daylight savings time. We'll be springing forward an hour and losing another hour of sleep, oh' boy. The older I get the more I hate daylight savings time. It seems like it takes me a few days to re-adjust to the new time and to be completely honest, I hate having to run around the house and change all the clocks. Not to mention trying to remember how to re-set the time in the vehicles.
Hard to believe it's already October. It's strange that this year with the COVID-19 pandemic and everything else that's going on some days drag, others fly by. For me most of 2020 has gone pretty quickly and here we are, it's Fall and Halloween is coming up fast. If you're looking for something to do, or things to look forward to this month you're in luck. There's actually a lot going on this mont
This has to be one of the strangest pumpkin spice creations ever. Kraft is offering a limited edition pumpkin spice macaroni and cheese just in time for Fall. Last week we heard the news that Kraft was unleashing this festive Fall food in Canada, we thought for a minute that we'd been left out. Luckily for us they decided to do it in the U.S. as well.
Well it's here, the wait is officially over, the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks is back on the menu. Now normally that would mark the beginning of the Fall/Winter season and the kick off of all things holidays.
The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and the Association of Friends of the Wichitas will be conducting "Fall Foliage Walks” on November 9 and 16. Interpreters take participants for a one-mile walk through a forested canyon. Participants will enjoy the chance to view the autumn colors of red, yellow, orange and brown as leaves begin to change with the season.
You may have noticed by the bite in the air or the goo in your eyes -- fall is here! We have mixed emotions about this, so we thought we'd treat it like every person we've ever dated and make a thorough pro/con list about it before it never returns our calls anyway.
It’s the fall, you’re in Utah, and you’re bored. What to do to pass the time? Well, if you’re these guys, you rent a truck, collect almost 1,500 bags of leaves, build a leaf pile, and jump off of your roof.
