The Los Angeles crowd went nuts for the band, but after System closed with 'Sugar,' drummer John Dolmayan brought the cheers to a new decibel level by promising a new album when they play L.A. again.

It's been a long, long time since System of a Down have released an album … about seven-and-a-half years to be exact. Now that the band has been playing live shows again over the past couple of years, fans have been drooling for some new material, and according to drummer John Dolmayan, System of a Down "are going to make a new album at a certain point."
