Better strap in! Tallah are ready to take you on a frenetic ride with their brand new song "Telescope," dropping today (March 9) along with word that a new album will follow.

The Generation of Danger is the title of their forthcoming sophomore set, now penciled in the release schedule for Sept. 9 via Earache Records. And to kick things off on the right foot, the band has issued the unrelentingly chaotic "Telescope," brimming with in-your-face ferocity courtesy of frontman Justin Bonitz.

Drummer Max Portnoy says of the song, “'Telescope' is one of fastest and most chaotic songs on The Generation of Danger. It was the first song I started working on for the record and it went through hundreds of changes. It’s one of my top picks from the album with the song having 2 different choruses. One being a melodic one and one with a more rap type of vibe. The song has a lot to offer.”

Take a listen and check out the lyrics below:

Tallah, "Telescope" Lyrics

I try to learn when I sprout a life out from nothing
I view it in a brand new frame
I put all of my faith in this
-All of my faith in this
If I goof up again,
What can I make from the mess?
Say adéu!
Fuck that coulda, woulda, shoulda shit

Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
-The generation of danger
You were da’ one who overlook’ da’ rule book
Ya’ whole crew’ shook
I’m the target of anger
Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
-The generation of danger
Thus, your head spits pain
Do you feel d-disdain for me?
Can’t get away from me, motherfucker!

This ain’t the time to hide your shame
You’re in the process—two more hearts to go
Preacher decided he’s done being quiet
The people love violence
It’s human nature—watch ‘em take it and take it again
And seventy-seven attempts later,
There’s a bad cop who turns the cheek
-He likes to watch ‘em squirm around on the pavement
That’s the delusion of safety
You proudly carried the torch,
But the porch had been doused with kerosene
Suddenly, you can’t face me
Suddenly, it seems you can’t walk at all…
Because I changed that!
Fuck your coulda, woulda, shoulda shit!

Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
-The generation of danger
You were da’ one who overlook’ da ‘rule book
Ya’ whole crew’ shook
I’m the target of anger
Thus, your head spits pain, and the bullet rampages
-The generation of danger
Thus, your head spits pain
Do you feel d-disdain for me?
Can’t get away from me!

I know the rich men park somewhere in Bruges,
Then the road winds further and further
Into the fog—into the maze,
Until they’re so caught up in haze
They couldn’t see me ‘til I swept their fucking legs

I peel out like a shadow,
Follow them straight into the maze
They can’t hear me when I sneak up from behind
And put chemicals in their brain

I know the rich men park somewhere in Bruges,
Then the road winds further and further
Into the fog—into the maze
Until they’re so caught up in haze
They couldn’t see me ‘til I swept their fucking legs

In addition to the song, Tallah have also issued a new desktop game that will take you further into the world of The Generation of Danger. Similar to their debut album, this sophomore set revolved around an overarching story and fans can uncover additional aspects of the universe in which the album is set by playing the game.

“The TGOD game was something I’ve been wanting to do since we started thinking of unique ways to present this album. It was an idea I hadn’t seen anyone do before and it’s the perfect way of setting up the album’s concept while offering loads of easter eggs and teasers. You’re essentially placed directly into the story and I feel it’s the most immersive thing we’ve ever done. I’m super proud of how it turned out," says Portnoy. You can check that out here.

As for The Generation of Danger, singer Justin Bonitz offers more insight, revealing, “The Generation of Danger is a completely new and fresh concept for us, both lyrically and instrumentally. We wanted to take what made Matriphagy so good and jack it up to 150 percent."

He continues, "The tracks are monstrous, daunting and the story the music tells dives into the idea of people hiding what they truly desire until someone else comes along and forces it to surface. It's a concept album about a genius scientist who gets fed up with being swept under the rug. After the multi-billion-dollar corporation that employs him takes credit for his latest, award-winning invention, he snaps and retaliates against them by forcing them to take part in the greatest experiment the world of science has ever seen.”

Pre-orders for the album are currently being taken here.. Check out the artwork and track listing below.

And you can also look for Tallah hitting the road in support of the album. The band will open shows for All That Remains on their spring tour celebrating 15 years of The Fall of Ideals album. The trek also includes Miss May I and Varials for a run that is not to be missed. Get ticketing details here and see all of Tallah's scheduled dates at the bottom of this post.
