So many things were missing from the Lawton Arts Community during the past year and a half.  No Arts for All Festival, no International Festival and no Lawton Philharmic Orchestra performances.

Aren't you glad that so many things are starting to come back?  We just got the news today that the International Festival is back on for the Fall, and that next month will kick off the 60th Season for Lawton's Philharmonic Orchestra! Even better than that, they will be playing the concert version of Rogers and Hammerstein's musical, 'Oklahoma'!

The concert will be Saturday night, August 28th, 7:30pm at the McMahon Auditorium.  What a wonderful venue for this performance.  If you have never experienced Orchestra music, this is a show that you don't want to miss, especially since we haven't been able to attend a show for over a year!

McMahon Auditorium is located at 801 NW Ferris Avenue, here in Lawton, and has been the home for the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra for many years.  Ticket information, including season tickets, or individual concerts can be found at Lawtonphil.com. or you can call 580-531-5043.

I'm already singing 'OOOOOOOklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains'!  This will be a lively night as the music of Rogers and Hammerstein will certainly thrill music fans both young and old!  My 3 year old granddaughter can sing every word to Oklahoma, and correct her Nana if I get even one word wrong!  This will kick off the 60th season that includes 3 concerts beginning with Oklahoma on August 28th, Prokiev &
Brahms on February 12, 2022, and finally Cowboys and Fiddlers, April 23, 2022.  Be a part of the fabulous 60th Season for LPO under the direction of Maestro Jon Kalbfleisch.
