I had been warned repeatedly that the second COVID-19 vaccination was rough when compared to the first one. In my normal devil may care, you don't know what you're talking about fashion, I completely ignored the warnings and I'm paying the price for that now. One of these days I'll learn my lesson and actually listen to what other people are saying, especially if they have some experience. We've all heard the horror stories of people getting really sick after their second injection, but I thought "Well, that won't happen to me." WRONG!

I rarely get sick and to my knowledge I've never really had a reaction or side effects to any vaccinations or shots I've had over the years. Well, I guess there's a first time for everything! What's funny is when people are talking about the COVID-19 vaccine it all depends on which brand or type your getting. Those who have taken the Pfizer-BioNTech injection swear that the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson have more side effects and have a greater chance of reactions. Those who have taken the Moderna say the same thing about the other two, and so on and so forth...

It's hard to really know which one is best for you, it's more of a "pull pin and pray" type thing. I went with the Moderna. I know a lot of people who have taken this one and most haven't had too many problems. The one thing everyone has said no matter which COVID-19 vaccine they've taken is that the second shot is the worst. The first one only has mild side effects, mainly a sore arm and some fatigue. But the second one can be really rough. Most people have said they got sick, having flu type symptoms, fever, chills and body aches.

I got my second shot yesterday and at first I thought "No problem, I'm not going to have the dreaded second shot side effects others have had." After about 5 or 6 hours I ended up having a high fever, chills and some of the worse body aches I can remember. It's still going one and I even had to leave work early. Hopefully it'll level off soon and I'll get to feeling better. Believe what they say that the second COVID-19 shot is no joke!

Sure, some people haven't had any issues with either vaccination, but the majority of people have had a rough time with the second one. So take it from me, prepare to be miserable for a few days and if at all possible get your second shot on a Friday. That way you have a few days to recuperate before you have to head back to work.
