I've only gone out and went Christmas shopping once during Black Friday and sworn I'd never, ever do it again. To me it's just not worth the hassle and headache, no matter how good the deals are. I'd rather pay more and not have to deal with the crowds and craziness. I know for a lot of people it's a part of the fun and their holiday traditions, they can keep it.

Over the years it seems it's getting worse and the madness starts earlier and earlier every year. What was once a one day sale that started early in the morning is now kicking off during Thanksgiving dinner. Most big retailers started their Black Friday sales this year yesterday around 5:00pm right in the middle of everyone's turkey day. The video shows just how different things are today.

Not only have the retailers changes, the customers have too. The one time I ventured out and did the whole Black Friday thing I ran into the rudest and worst customers. My fellow shoppers were all whipped into a blood frenzy, like sharks circling prey. I could get out of the stores fast enough! I'll wait until the dust settles and the stores empty, then I'll grab the shopping list and head out.
