I remember as a kid you had to plan your holidays and special occasions around all the great T.V. movies and specials. In those days before the internet, DVD's and yes even before VHS if you missed a holiday special you were screwed! You had to wait an entire year to see it again! Back to the old days. I never thought I'd get old enough to say that, but here I am. Anyway, it was always a big deal to watch the holiday specials and believe me the entire family planned everything around them. You laid out the week and made sure you were in front of the T.V. when they came on or you missed out. There was no pause, rewind, fast forward or watching it later.
