‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Loses Out on Chance for $1 Million Because He Mumbled

Here's a painful reminder about the need to speak clearly.

On Tuesday's episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ contestant Paul Atkinson had just landed on the million dollar wedge and was on the verge of solving the puzzle when he mumbled the answer, which was not accepted and left him, and his bow tie, in a state of disbelief.

Odds are Paul wouldn’t have gone on to win the massive prize in the bonus round, but, hey, you never know. What we do we know, though, is that after the show he was probably very clear when explaining how upset he was.
