As you have heard more that a few times over the last 2 months, the OBI is in desperate need of blood.  All blood types are needed; whole blood or platelets.  Starting spring with a deficit of adequate blood supply has put the pressure on the Oklahoma Blood Institute, and coupled with more and more residents scheduling elective surgeries now that they are able as some of the lock downs due to COVID 19 are over.

You'll also get a tour of the newly renovated facility at 211 SW A Ave, and just for this event from Noon-5, they will have their conference room decked out for donations as well.  Their plan is no waiting to donate!  As people are gradually returning to a new normal as the pandemic wanes, they are seeing and increase of blood need, and a decrease in donations.

If you are able to donate, you will receive a 'Rise up & Give' OBI T-shirt, and a voucher for 1 free admission to the Oklahoma Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

There will be refreshments and door prizes.

I know that you will enjoy getting to know Christi Chambers.  I have known her since she was very young.  We worked with her mother Paula Chambers in the Youth Department at our church.  I have watched Christi's career take her to different jobs around Southwest Oklahoma.  Each one giving her new skills and talents that enhance her next opportunity.  Please, make plans to attend the Spring Fling Open House, meet Christi, and if you are able to donate, please do so. They need your help!
