With the first big holiday weekend of the year coming up, many Oklahoma families are starting to plan their kickoff to summer.

If you feel like you've all been there/done that across Oklahoma, which is ridiculous with all the new stuff across the state this year, there's always a quick weekend trip to the old reliable Dallas.

The Metroplex is full of stuff to do, much of which is on the cheap and interesting enough that the kids will be all about it.

Last time we went, my nephews spent far more time in Buc-ee's than expected. Like, it's a big gas station, how did they entertain themselves for an hour and a half?

Doesn't matter, they got beaver nuggets, stickers, and one creepy set of feeted-pajamas and were happy as can be to take the long drive home.

If you're headed South for Memorial Day Weekend, here are a few fun adventures to have.
