A New Walk-In Vaccine Clinic Available Tomorrow!
The Oklahoma State Department of Health has announced a new Walk-In COVID 19 Vaccine Clinic will be open tomorrow!Trinity Assembly of God, located at 202 SE 45th Street in Lawton will be administering vaccines tomorrow, April 6 from 9am-11am. They will have all 3 manufactures available, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson. These vaccines are available to anyone over the age of 16, however, persons under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian present.
It's been just a little over a week since Oklahoma, joined our neighboring state Texas and Mississippi as the front-runners in allowing open access to vaccines to all residents of the state. Governor Kevin Stitt, took his vaccine at a press conference celebrating the fact that Oklahoma is now in Phase 4 - Open to all Residents.
I have scheduled my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine for this Friday at 4pm. I was a bit concerned about the 2nd dose, as many have said that the side effects are pretty substantial. However, my sister who lives in Houston had the same vaccine 2 weeks ago, and had zero symptoms. My sister that lives here in Lawton, had hers a week ago and was sent home from work with a low grade fever (100.6). Now I really do not know what to expect!
One thing I do know is that I feel comfortable taking the vaccine, with or without side effects. As the country continues to open up, and travel restrictions are lessened, and more and more people are getting vaccinated. I am encouraged about this summer and making travel plans.
How about you? Have you put off travel plans? Have you waited for your vaccine? The walk in clinic may be a perfect for your schedule tomorrow!
