Arvest Bank in Lawton is Hosting a SHRED-A-THON This Friday!
Time to start going through all your old paperwork, mail and other items that may contain personal or banking information and properly get rid of them once and for all. With it being Spring now's the perfect time to do a little, or maybe a whole lot of cleaning around the house, shed and garage. Most household trash, clutter and junk can be disposed of pretty easily. But when it comes to anything that may have personal information on it, it's better to be safe than sorry. The last thing you want to have happen is to have your identity stolen because you didn't shred or destroy paperwork or old mail. That's were Arvest Bank comes in!
Coming up this Friday, April 23rd (04-23-21) the Arvest Bank at 4330 N.W. Cache Road is hosting a SHRED-A-THON. You'll be able to bring your unwanted paperwork, mail and any other items that contains financial and/or personal details to the bank and have it shredded. This way you know 100% that no one will be able to take them and use them to steal your identity. You'd be surprised at how often this happens.
A lot of identity theft has been traced back to household trash. People carelessly throw items away that have all kinds of personal information on them instead of shredding or destroying it. Scammers and thieves use these to access accounts and steal your identity. Yes, they go through your trash and take stuff that could help them steal your identity. They use old bills, banking paperwork, personal documents, medical and insurance paperwork really anything and everything they can find with personal information on it.
Protect yourself by gathering up all this trash and old paperwork and have it shredded. Arvest Bank on Cache Road will be accepting your old documents and paperwork from 10:00am until 2:00pm this Friday (04-23-21) so stop by 4330 N.W. Cache Road for the SHRED-A-THON. If possible give a donation to the Arvest Million Meals Campaign while you're there. It's a great cause and all proceeds will go to benefit the Lawton Food Bank.
