So we saw a video online last week of someone trying to carve a pumpkin with a 22 rifle... That's cute, but how would a man carve a pumpkin with his favorite firearm? We loaded up and put these colorful squashes to the ultimate test!

It is truly amazing what you can do with a few rounds of hot lead and some spray paint.

If you want to get in on the fun, there are usually several pumpkin patches around Lawton. I'll be honest with you, like most people over the course of 2020, I haven't spent a whole lot of time running around town, so I couldn't tell you where the pumpkin patches are. Of course, pumpkins are also carried at the big box stores like WalMart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Sutherlands, and I'm pretty sure there's some in front of Bed Rock Nursery... But even more have been set up throughout the community driven more towards fundraising and charity. That way your Halloween fun goes towards the benefit of others.

Take the kids, let them pick out a pumpkin. If you're looking for a more simple and traditional pumpkin activity, there's always carving. Before you ring up that ultra-cheap carving kit at the register, there's a much better way of doing it that will save you a lot of headache... Head over to your preferred tool outlet, buy yourself a wood dowel and some jig saw blades. They are way better at carving pumpkins than the tiny little saws that come in the kits. I even skipped the dowels this year, instead just used some epoxy to glue the blades onto some free chopsticks.
