Famous Celebrities Who Have Been Arrested In Oklahoma

Celebrities get arrested everywhere. That part isn’t unusual.

Los Angeles has celebrity DUIs like people here have tornado warnings. Florida has turned celebrity arrests into its own tourism category at this point. But when a famous person gets arrested in Oklahoma, the story immediately becomes ten times funnier for some reason.

Maybe it’s the locations.

There’s just something incredible about a millionaire musician getting booked into jail somewhere between a Love's truck stop and a wheat field.

Over the years, Oklahoma has accidentally collected a pretty solid lineup of celebrity mugshots.

Country star Zach Bryan gave the state one of its biggest celebrity arrest stories back in 2023. It's not the total fact that he was arrested here, he's from here... It's the long story and accompanying video of him letting his ego go wild towards the OHP Trooper at a traffic stop he wasn't even pulled over for. It was super-embarrassing for him, probably. Bryan did apologize later, admitting he handled the situation badly.

It wasn't a waste of our time watching the video though. I can't even imagine how many young Oklahomans learned the valuable lesson to pipe down and stay in the truck.

2 Chainz got arrested here too. In OKC back in 2013. Police stopped his tour bus on I-40, and when officers said they smelled marijuana coming from the bus, things escalated into a ten-hour standoff from there.

The oldest son from the 90s Home Improvement show caught a DUI in Western Oklahoma a few years ago. Older millennials will remember Zachery Ty Bryan. Reading his Wiki page, that wasn't his first or last DUI. He's apparently still serving a prison sentence.

Maybe the funniest Oklahoma celebrity arrest belongs to Macaulay Culkin.

Yep, the kid from Home Alone.

Culkin was arrested in Oklahoma City back in 2004 during a traffic stop after police reportedly found marijuana and prescription medication in his car. Somewhere in Oklahoma government archives sits a mugshot of Kevin McCallister looking like he up and joined the Wet Bandits.

There are others too. Tons of musicians, actors, athletes, and reality TV people. Oklahoma has become one of those states that celebrities pass through just long enough to end up on the wrong side of the law. It's weirdly hilarious, but probably not unique to us. I'm sure celebs catch a little trouble everywhere they go. Oklahoma just happens to be one of those states that every tour eventually rolls through, whether they book dates or not. We are America's corner after all.
