Demon Hunter have released a thrashy new song "Ash" from one of their upcoming new albums. That's right, the band is releasing two new albums, War and Peace. "Ash," with its powerful and thunderous rhythm and chant-like lyrics, is featured on War. Listen to the song below.

"'Ash' is a no frills, anthemic onslaught, berating our infatuation with fleeting possessions. It’s a reminder to myself as much as anyone else. I collect pretty much everything I couldn’t afford as a kid: skateboards, shoes, artwork, antiques… you name it. And I love this stuff. Still, I know I can’t 'take it with me' as they say," vocalist Ryan Clark says.

He adds, "In classic Demon Hunter fashion, we wanted to ensure that War had at least one faster thrash number in the vein of 'Storm the Gates of Hell,' 'Crucifix,' or 'The World Is a Thorn.' 'Ash' is the resident barn burner track for this album. This was the last song that we’d written for the heavier of these two records, and is the only song written by Patrick, Jeremiah and myself."

Clark recently spoke about the upcoming releases with Full Metal Jackie, explaining that the purpose of two albums was so that each could be devoted to their contrasting musical styles - heavy and melodic.

Demon Hunter fans will soon have no shortage of new music. War and Peace serve as a double follow-up to 2017's Outlive and will be out tomorrow (Mar. 1) on Solid State Records.
