FORT SILL, OK – The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, the Tree Growers Association, and Fed Ex Freight has teamed up to provide and deliver real Christmas trees to military families on Dec. 11 at the Fort Sill Recycling Center. Distribution of the trees will begin on Dec. 12 from 7:30a.m. to 5:00p.m and continue if trees are left on Dec. 13 during normal business hours.

The distribution of the trees will take place in Bldg. 3321 located on Naylor Road, just west of the old Recycle location on the corner of Sheridan & Naylor. The trees will be distributed on a first come-first served basis to active duty Military Families.

In keeping with COVID-19 safety procedures, we have made the following

Adjustments: volunteers will fill out the check in sheet for families or individuals can save time by coming by Bldg. 3321, Dec. 3-4, between 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m. to pre-check in. Only allow six families in the warehouse will be allowed at a time to select their trees and ask that families maintain physical distancing while waiting.

Trees for Troops, a program of the Christmas Spirit Foundation, provides free, farm-grown Christmas Trees to members in all branches of the U.S. military and their Families, through donations, sponsorship, grants and the work of many volunteers. For more information, visit: www.treesfortroops.org.

Since 2005, more than 243,955 free, farm-grown Christmas trees have been provided to troops and military Families in the United States and overseas through Trees for Troops. Fort Sill is grateful for this kind contribution and support to the soldiers and their families on the installation.
