Just a few days ago, Green Day took to social media with a "bullheaded" charge that's left fans wondering what's on the horizon from the pop-punk veterans. After a reported new single from the band was reportedly teased then publicly denied last month, the latest images from the group surely indicate something is afoot.

On Instagram Friday (July 19), the band shared a series of photos that starts with a close-up image showing the head of a bull. Scrolling through, the remaining photos put Green Day members — along with their instruments — in what appears to be a recording studio. Take a look at the pics down toward the bottom of this post.

Interestingly enough, the photos were also dispersed on each band member's individual accounts, which the group indicated by tagging frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool. The single images are swapped among musicians, with Armstrong's post showing Dirnt, Dirnt's Cool and Cool's Armstrong.

Does this point to new Green Day music? Is an announcement coming soon? That remains to be seen, and nothing's been confirmed as of yet. Perhaps the activity from the rockers will hasten a gender-switched American Idiot musical. Or maybe a new track will arrive before Green Day's first book, the upcoming Last of the American Girls.
