Colin Michael Mulhern, vocalist of Colorado rock band If I Fail, has died following an automobile incident with a suspected drunk driver. FOX 40 reports that an SUV rear-ended the tour van that Mulhern was traveling in at roughly 2:40 a.m. early Monday (Aug. 27) on Interstate 5 in California. The vehicle contact reportedly sent the van into a center median, which led to it barrel-rolling off the road.

Mulhern was on tour selling merchandise with fellow Colorado band Short Fuse 59. They had just finished their tour and were headed back to Colorado. He was 30 years old.

According to the California Highway Patrol, alcohol and drugs were found in the driver's car. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was not injured in the incident. They have not released her name.

Members of Short Fuse were also injured in the crash. At the time of our report, drummer Patrick Carney remains in a coma. If I Fail released a statement on Mulhern's passing, which included a GoFundMe for Carney's medical expenses.

We would like to thank everyone that has reached out to us during this difficult time. We are absolutely devastated of the loss of our brother and vocalist Colin Michael. The whole situation has left us speechless. He will be greatly missed by a countless amount of lives that he has touched.

Please keep your thoughts with our brothers in SHORT FUSE 59. There will be a gofundme link in the comments for Patrick Carneywho is still recovering in the hospital.

If anyone wants to share memories of Colin please do so in the comments. We would love to hear your stories how Colin has impacted your life.

We had just finished recording our new EP and we want everyone to hear it as soon as possible. All Colin ever wanted was people to listen and sing his lyrics back to him. We are aiming to release it this Friday, August 31st. Titled "The Author of all your Pain"

Thank you for your continuous support. We love you Colin.
